"In Tanzania we visit a fair trade coffee plantation where participants will make their own fair cup of coffee from A to Z."

Local population

By hiring the local population as drivers, cooks, guides, and hosts, we’re not only able to visit the most extraordinary places, we also assist the local population with making a living.

In addition, the money we make with our Company FunFair educational project, we support local development initiatives in the countries we visit. For example, in Tanzania we support the Sengerema Foundation, which focuses on helping disadvantaged youth set up their own companies with loans and trainings. These young entrepreneurs are the same people as the host families we will spend the night with. A perfect combination!

CO2 compensation

Flying to a destination that is far away, unfortunately comes with many emissions that are harmful for the environment. In order to compensate this, we always choose to fly Carbon Neutral: For every plane ticket we pay a financial compensation to GreenSeat, an organisation that invests in sustainable energy projects in developing countries.

Financial transparency

Fairaway is part of a foundation. We do not organise our trips to make a profit, but to provide amazing experiences to as many young people as possible. Therefore, we try to lower the prices as much as we can. However, plane tickets and 24/7 guidance are things that cost money. Below you can see how the trips are priced.

"I have made friends I will never forget. We had so much fun together!"

Global awareness

Our main purpose is to organise an unforgettable experience trip for youth, over and over again. In order to reach this goal, it is important for us that they become aware of poverty and injustice during their trip, and start thinking about what they can do to make a difference. The trips are intended to help participants form an opinion, not to push or guide them into a certain (political or religious) direction. By involving young people in various global developmental issues, we hope to motivate them to help make the world a better place.
